D-rings with clips are used more often as an anchoring hardware.
You would use a D-ring with a clip on a flat surface, screwing the clip down and then attaching webbing, rope or another device that would secure your items. Metal D-rings with clips would be very useful in stockrooms where you would want to secure items while still allowing for access.
These ObeCo's D-rings with clips are made of stainless steel. Typically, most customers pair the clip D-rings with heavyweight polypropylene or a flat nylon webbing and utilize them as utility straps. D-rings are perfect as a light duty anchor.
